SHERMAYNES ENGINEERING LIMITED was founded in 1960 and today provides
a complete metalworking service that includes assistance with initial
product development and a wide range of manufacturing processes. We
aim to provide our customers with a reliable, cost-effective sheet
metal and light fabrication service in a wide range of materials
including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Our production
facility is situated in Lancaster, close to the M6 Motorway, West
Coast Inter-city Railway, Manchester Airport and the dock facilities
of Liverpool, Heysham and Hull, which enables us to despatch finished
products swiftly throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Our policy of continually evaluating the manufacturing systems
currently available enables us to provide our customers with a
complete cost effective manufacturing service covering :
- The manufacture of sub-contract sheet-metal and fabricated
components components using CNC cutting, punching and pressbraking
technology.
- Various processes for product finishing including powder coating
(with phosphate pre-treatment), wet painting, plating and polishing.
- Sub-assembly of components ready for final assembly.
- Final assembly and testing of complete products.
- Packing and despatch of orders to your requirements.
Our Technical Development team will work with you to develop a
product from concept to realisation, providing technical assistance
covering any individual components that you may require. A development
engineer will be allocated to you who will be responsible for your
project through all stages of development up to the approval of any
prototypes which may be manufactured. The use of state-of-the-art
CAD/CAM systems allows us to translate your ideas into production
drawings and prototypes quickly and accurately.
Our Estimating Engineers prepare estimates and quotations based on
enquires received and advises on economical batch sizes as may be
appropriate. To assist you with long term budgeting, we can advise you
of the likely effect on sales prices in the long term due to changes in the
cost of raw materials and services.
Our Commercial Department monitors the progress of all customers'
orders and is able to provide accurate delivery dates on receipt of an
enquiry or order. The Commercial department is also responsible for
co-ordinating any special despatch arrangements you may require
including despatch of goods throughout the UK or the export of your
products to your required destination world wide.
Our Technical Support team can send and receive production drawings
and information electronically and CAD/CAM systems are used to prepare
all necessary production documentation.
Throughout manufacture, the quality of your products will be
monitored and controlled using manufacturing systems that meet the
requirements of ISO 9002 : 1994, enabling you to have total confidence
that the final product will meet your requirements.
